As per usual, GRUM/Graeme Shepherd is being his brilliant Scottish self. Just fresh from his successful sold-out North America tour with my favorite DJ group, the Twelves, comes the release of his video for Through The Night. The 80’s flavor is there but well-suited to the modern electronic vibe his music always have. With that theme of the music video, I’m sure I’m not the only one who agrees that Grum should give soundtrack production a try.
Avid readers of Thieves By Tuesday will know how much I adore Marina and the Diamonds and Grum. Although I got a little bit late on the I love Marina bandwagon, it doesn’t make me any less of a fan. And Grum can do no wrong in my eyes. He makes one hot remix one after the other. Grum still keeps the original elements of “Oh No” but amping it up with funky bass beats!

It’s been 2 years since GRUM has changed my life. The first time I heard his New Wave remix of Anoraak’s Nightdrive With You on 2008, I’ve been yearning for another fix from him. Grum great at many things but it’s this that makes them top of my list – consistency. The tracks just blow me away – no kidding. And his work is like wine – it gets better through the years. Another bonus for this post are two good tracks – The Rebirth mix featuring Gudda Gudda of Lil Wayne’s F*ck Today and a rock alternative from Sunset Rubdown to continue keep that blood pumping at a rate where your body can keep up.
Grum makes gold look like trash – he walks the platinum side.

Check out a guilt-free download of the song “Berlin” that is taken from “Holiday.” It is a soothing synth pop tune with a throbbing bassline, glistening strings, creative use of the vocoder and Brandon’s mesmerizing vocals. “Holiday” will be available in digital download stores on November 18.
Following on the heels of his smash “Let It Rock,” Kevin Rudolph’s new single “NYC” features more of his signature mesh of pop, rock and hip hop. Rudolph is quickly emerging as a much sough-after writer and producer. This new track, “NYC,” is a ode to his favorite city features a slamming cameo from NAS. He never disappoints. Read more about Rudolph’s rise to fame on Billboard’s web site .
